Increasing OR utilization and achieving surgeon satisfaction with block time are goals that many OR managers struggle to achieve. Whether you’re with a large academic facility or a community hospital, chances are you face difficulties such as:

  • Finding specific performance metrics for each surgeon
  • Getting surgeons to read the report cards you send them
  • Having underutilized OR blocks because surgeons don’t promptly release them
  • Wanting to bring in more surgeons, but unsure where to find block time for them.

If any of the above rings true, this webinar is for you! Ashley Walsh, MHA, senior financial analyst and former UCHealth perioperative business manager, and Treena Dockery, MBA/HCM, PMP, ACHE, project manager for perioperative services at UCHealth, will discuss how mobile technology can be used to engage surgeons as active participants in improving OR efficiencies.

Learning objectives

  • Discuss the advantages of tools such as SMS, email, a mobile-optimized web dashboard, and an interactive chatbot.
