Today’s value analysis committees have a tug-of-war. We still live in a fee-for-service world, but it is evolving toward value-based care. Pressures to achieve optimal clinical, quality, and financial objectives can be daunting. Very few integrated health systems have fully adopted value-based care, and there is significant opportunity for improvement in healthcare delivery. We know the long-term trends, but how do we translate those into today’s environment? How do we manage our multiple stakeholder interests while still achieving our patient outcome, quality, and financial goals?
In this webinar, Mark Dixon, president, Mark Dixon Group, will walk us through what your CEO is focusing on and how you can align that vision to your value analysis. In addition, Bob Dybec, OR nurse manager, NYU Winthrop Hospital, will present a practical case study of how his team made a strategic value analysis shift in evaluating a novel technology, the LithoVue Single-Use ureteroscope.
- Describe common pitfalls in value analysis related to outdated strategies.
- Identify your CEO’s vision, and how you can align your OR’s value analysis with that future.
- Discuss a practical example of how one hospital shifted to a strategic mindset for a novel product request.
